Please give us a short summary of your website?

A concise history of Barbados from the arawaks, caribs, the Afrikan slave trade out of Ghana, Nigeria noting George Washington visit to Barbados

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

There was a need to produce an indepth site about the history of Barbados for educational and information purposes.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was highlighting the early history of Barbados so the title reflected this.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Most other sites focus mainly on tourism but there is also an interest in the history of the island which others do not foucus on heavily.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I have achieved my goal, that is by having it posted for general worldwide viewing.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The page was prepared during my spare time and there was no money involved to produce the site.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would probably use some funds to promote the site further.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Researching the information.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Using CEO software

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

So far I have not noticed any diviations, all has been progressing as expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This revised site has been running for a month, previous version for over 2 years
