Get Married on San Andres Island

Do you want a nice caribbean wedding? Why not have it on San Andres Island? You could have it in a hotel like the Los Americas (pictured here), Hotel Tunia or maybe even on the beach!

Marriage to a Colombian National: The following is an informal interpretation of Colombian law regarding the marriage of a U.S. citizen to a Colombian national. One should always consult with the appropriate Colombian governmental and/or religious officials as to specific details and updated information. A marriage performed in accordance with Colombian law is recognized under the law of the United States. [I should note that with the certificate there are no questions asked about it].

San Andres Island, apparently has a new law that requires only a passport to get married, though the Embassy lists many requirements, though the old marriage visa is no longer required anywhere in Colombia.

The Embassy doesn't say what is needed for two U.S. Citizens to get married in Colombia or on San Andres Island, but finding out might be a good adventure that ends in a wonderful marriage and wedding on the island.
